About the Event

Disability Rights Washington held its second annual "Week Without Driving" challenge from September 19 to 25, challenging the state's community leaders to experience what it's like to get around without driving.  Approximately 25 percent of people cannot drive due to age, ability, or access to a vehicle.  The Week Without Driving challenge puts leaders almost literally in these people's shoes, providing new perspectives on how their policy and funding decisions restrict or enable mobility for all people. Join Snotrac this Monday, October 17, 12-1 p.m. as we hear from our county's community leaders their lessons learned.  So far, confirmed panelists include:

  • Ric Ilgenfritz, Community Transit CEO
  • Tom Hingson, Everett Transit Director
  • June Robinson, State Senator
  • Megan Dunn, County Councilmember
  • Paula Rhyne, Everett Councilmember
  • Liz Vogeli, Everett Councilmember
